The latest Boston Dynamics video is about the SpotMini, a new smaller version of the Spot four-legged agile robot. However, while the Spot is hydraulically actuated, the SpotMini is 100% electric with a battery that lasts about 90 minutes on a charge . This is why the SpotMini much less noisy. Another visible novelty is the addition of an arm. It allows the robot grab objects. It also provides enough force to help the robot recover back on its feet after falling. In the video, we can see it in action after the robot slipped on banana skins. Most of the clip showcases the robot in different rooms inside a house.
